Restoring Secure Print (Windows)

If you find that Secure Print is not working, it's possible that you have been signed out of the Cloud Printing program/client, called the PMC Client. This may happen after a Windows Update, or for other reasons. There is an easy way to check:

  1. Click on the caret ^ in the lower right hand corner of your Windows desktop screen. (If you hover over it, it will say Show hidden icons.)
  2. Look for a transparent/black-and-white printer icon. This is the status of your PMC connection. 
  3. If you hover your mouse pointer over it, the status will show (Logged is as ______, not signed in, etc.)

If you are not signed in, you can sign in again by right-clicking the PMC printer icon and choosing Login. In order to log in, you will use your SICS email credentials. 

If you do not see the PMC printer icon, or if you have any other technical support needs, please submit a detailed ticket to the IT department.
